Nars Foundation & Concealer – Yay or Nay?

I wanted to do something different on my blog so I thought I’ll share my experience using the Nars sheer glow foundation and Nars creamy concealer.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation:

At first I was sceptical to purchase the Nars foundation as I’d read a mix of reviews saying both positive and negative things about the product, Nonetheless, I decided to go for it. The foundation retails at £32 and you can also purchase a pump (you don’t have to however it’ll save product) which costs £3, so overall the foundation costs £35. It’s fairly pricey, which was another reason why I was uncertain about purchasing it.

Before using Nars, I used the Mac studio fix liquid foundation however, I waned to find a foundation that looks more natural with fuller coverage that also works with my sometimes oily skin (ill do a blog on mac products soon). I decided to go to space nk, as I knew they sold Nars products, to get a skin match (you don’t want to spend all that money on foundation for it to be the wrong colour). All of the ladies were so lovely and also gave me a tester pot just incase I got back home and decided the colour wasn’t right; my shade is ‘Mont Blanc’.

The results:

I love the natural, satin finish and how you can build the coverage to what you desire; it only takes me 2/3 pumps to get the coverage I want. Furthermore, this foundation works well alongside my oily skin, and lasts a full day without going patchy or ‘melting off’. I can’t recommend this foundation enough, I love it.

Where to purchase: Space nk, Nars, ASOS, feel unique and House of Fraser

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer:

I have a few concealers (I’ll share with you guys on another planned post) that I love but I wanted to try the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer as everyone was raving about it.

The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer retails at £23 however prices may vary depending where you shop. I purchased my concealer at Space nk in shade ‘vanilla’. You can purchase the concealer at: Nars, Space nk, Selfridges, ASOS, feelunique and lookfantasic.

The results:

The concealer itself truly is creamy, blends easily and has great coverage – a little goes a long way with this concealer. It’s great at highlighting however, I found that this concealer does crease under my eyes and, after reading some reviews, I found a lot of people also have the same problem even though, it does state on the Nars website that the concealer lor doesn’t crease. I probably wouldn’t buy this concealer again because of the creasing.
